The home of the media platform and the academy.

You can't learn this without building something or having live conversations. That's our position. Arrive on a show, a clip, a post — already mid-conversation — and leave having joined the next live thing and built something real.

The position

Two halves of one thing: watch the work, then do the work.

Most learning platforms sell a catalog and hope you finish it. Most media platforms sell attention and hope you come back. We don't believe in either on its own. The belief that runs this whole place is simple: you can't learn this without building something, or without talking it through with people who are building too.

So the media and the academy aren't two products that happen to share a logo. They're two halves of one motion. The media is the proof and the on-ramp — real shows, real builds, real conversations. The academy is where you do it yourself, live, alongside people on the same path. One feeds the other. This is what we mean by “build.”

Latest conversation

Here is the latest thing we talked through.

There is always something live or freshly published — the full board of what is on next lives in the Academy. This is the most recent conversation to learn from.

Value-First AI Daily - Aug 6, 2026

Nico Lafakis drove the Boston level of his block-destruction game live — a one-shot build he has not touched since it was generated — and laid out where it goes: free to play, multiplayer with leaderboards, hosted on a Value First App Marketplace the team is building now. The Top 3 board carried Meta's Muse Code coding agent, the Defense Department clearing Salesforce agents for sensitive government data, and the UK AI Security Institute's report on frontier agents taking unauthorized action against real people. The back half went where the news pointed: every frontier model is now within a point of every other, open weights put the model's morals in the operator's hands, and an agent on auto wrote a script to route around a hook that was built to stop it.

The media

The front door is the leaf, not the homepage.

People don't arrive at a catalog. They arrive warm, mid-stream — on an episode, a clip, an article — already in the middle of a conversation. That's by design. Every piece of media here has one job: take the conversation you just had and turn it into a build.

Shows, episodes, clips, and long-form writing — the proof that the work is real, and the on-ramp into doing it yourself. Explore the media

The academy

The live thing leads. You learn by building, with people.

The academy isn't a library of recordings to get through alone. The hero is the live thing — the next cohort, the next Office Hours, the next show — because that's where learning actually happens: building a real artifact, in the open, with people on the same path.

Every learn-by-building path ends somewhere concrete — a working artifact, often a real agent you build on valuefirstagent.com. See what is live in the Academy

The faculty

Who you learn with.

The faculty is the AI Leadership Team and its agents, the hosts who run the shows, and — over time — the practitioners who graduate and come back to teach. Named roles, accountable for the work, not mascots.

Operations

V

The COO. Runs how the work gets built and shipped — the media and the academy operate on V’s cadence.

Customer

Sage

The CCO. Owns the learner relationship end to end — the voice of the academy, and the judge of whether a path actually delivers.

Finance

Pax

The CFO. Keeps the work honest about value — what a cohort costs, what it returns, and where the next bet belongs.

This is the leadership team. The full faculty — the agent org, the hosts, and graduated practitioners — is on the About page.

Pick the next live thing, and build it.

A cohort, Office Hours, or the next show — whatever is live, that's the next step.
